Congratulations Illinois State Scholars!

Glenwood High School Announces Illinois State Scholars for Class of 2015
Fifty-one Glenwood High School seniors
listed here have been identified as among the top 10% (academically) of students in the State of Illinois.  To be considered for State Scholar eligibility, a student must be a U.S citizen or eligible non-citizen, be a resident of Illinois, attend an approved high school, take the ACT, SAT or Prairie State Achievement Exam by the end of junior year in high school, perform in the top half of the graduating class, and/or score in the 95th percentile on the ACT, SAT or PSAE, and graduate from high school during the academic year in which the student was selected as a State Scholar.  Once all requirements have been met, students are selected based on a specific formula.

Tips for Staying Healthy

Information Regarding Seasonal Influenza

It seems as if the flu season is upon us. The Ball-Chatham School District would like to offer the following methods, recommended by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and those used by the district, to help reduce the spread:

  • Students who are showing signs of influenza (cough, fever, chills, fatigue) should remain home and away from other students. They should stay home except if needed to go to the physician office. They should also remain away from family members who are very young (younger than 6 months), very old, or have other diseases such as asthma or lung disease that may make the symptoms of influenza worse. More information from the CDC...

Congrats!
